A chainsaw violently roars
A tree helplessly falls
With all discussions
Extending for years

While nature suffers
We argue and debate

Actions come
When it is too late
Prevention is forgone
In place of words

Laws are passed
Enforcement is lax

When one side wins
And the other loses ground
The worse has already happened
New problems will be found

All that was done
Was sit and talk

The costant blame game
Is played yet again
While our denuded forests
And fauna continually suffer
